Sedapap® has an appropriate combination of acetaminophen and butalbital. If the patient needed 650 mg of acetaminophen, you could prescribe Sedapap® and provide adequate treatment with just one tablet. To achieve the same level of acetaminophen with the other products, a patient would need to take 2 pills and double the amount of butalbital, which may not be your goal. With Sedapap®, you get the convenience of one tablet dosing, while providing an appropriate amount of acetaminophen and butalbital.

Sedapap® is caffeine-free. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor and is useful for vascular headaches, such as migraines. But caffeine is not needed for TENSION headaches, which involve tightening or tensing of facial neck muscles. And remember, 90% of headaches are TENSION headaches, according to the National Institute of Health and The National Headache Foundation.

For TENSION headaches Sedapap® has the advantage:

  • More acetaminophen than other brands and is caffeine free
  • One tablet dosing limits the amount of butalbital and enhances compliance
  • 50 - 80% less expensive than other brands
